Physical and Human Resources

Our parish community will provide the individuals we serve with quality facilities and well trained staff and volunteers.


Goal #1:         Physical Plant and Infrastructure
We will utilize land, facilities and equipment to meet current and future parish needs.

Objectives

–  To maintain current facilities to meet safety requirements and building codes
–  To create and implement a physical plant and infrastructure plan

Goal #2:         Leadership Training and Development

We will continually assess our need for additional/new leaders to meet the changing needs of our parish community with competent and well-trained staff.

Objectives

–  To develop paid personnel for quality leadership activities
–  To develop parishioners for leadership roles/positions for non-paid committees
–  To review and revise staffing and volunteer positions within our parish as they may arise
–  To explore the possibility of outsourcing technical operations where appropriate, feasible and cost effective
–  To coordinate and develop plans for volunteer and staff leadership succession

We will utilize and organize human resources to meet current and future parish needs.

Objectives

–  To identify unmet staffing needs and procedures

    • Develop an organizational chart
    • Maintain updated job descriptions
    • Survey parish community to assess perceived unmet needs
    • Obtain approval from Parish leadership regarding staffing changes

–  To define and maintain an objective staff evaluation process
–  To monitor future human resources needs

–  To maintain a competitive salary and benefits structure for all parish staff
–  To maintain a competitive salary and benefits structure for all school staff
–  To share staff with other Catholic and public schools to meet needs for special curricular areas

    • Increase to 50% FTE for shared Reading Resource teacher
    • Add shared art teacher to staff
    • Add shared Math Resource teacher to staff
    • Add shared foreign language teacher to staff
    • Add shared Talented and Gifted teacher to staff
